Zenith Exports Ltd, (ZEL) was incorporated as a Public Limited Company., on July 23rd 1981, with its Regd. office at No 19, R.N. Mukherjee Road, Calcutta 700 001, India. The company is one of the leading Export house in India and has been receiving various awards from the Indian Government Agencies for excellent performance in exports. The company has its operations spread over Divisions - namely Silk Division, Spinning Division, Leather Division & Leasing Finance.

Being in the field for marketing silk fabrics for more than 15 years the company's customer base is spread across the globe and efforts are now being made to establish renowned agents and dealers in principal markets to reinforce marketing efforts further. The company participates in major International fairs adding to its global presence.

The Company is professionally managed by Board of Directors consisting of professionals in relevant trade headed by Mr.B.R. Loyalka as Chairman.

SILK DIVISION
The  Silks Division is located at

Kolkatta and Bangalore division exports handloom and power loom fabrics such as Tussar, Matka, Noil, Katiya, Spun, Ghicha, Dupion, Tafetta fabrics and Embroideries / Accessories (Scarfs, Bags).

Mysore Silk Division - This is a state of the art technology mill. It has 28 shuttleless looms with the production capacity of about 100,000.00 mtrs. per annum. The unit is a 100% Export Oriented Unit, produces fabrics for women's wear, Bridal Wear and Home furnishing for premium segment. The unit is ISO 9001 BVQI certified and has been constantly upgrading its quality standards as per international customer requirements. Technocrats with over 20 years of experience in textile field manage the Unit . The advance effluent treatment plant located in the unit ensures that operations carried out are environment friendly. It has an In House creative design team with well-equipped Computer Aided Design application to develop new designs and for the past one year has developed 150 new designs, which has been well received, in the  international markets.

LEATHER DIVISION
Leather Division operates from Kolkata and is engaged in the manufacture and exports of industrials leather hand gloves and leather made-ups. This division has constantly shown growth in volume terms during the last few years.

SPINNING DIVISION
Spinning Division has its manufacturing unit at Ahmedabad and the unit manufactures and concentrates at premium segments of international cotton yarn market such as mélange yarns. The unit operates on 19440 spindles with a capacity to manufacture 4.1 million kilo of yarns. The unit also manufactures synthetic blended yarns from dyed fibers and demand for synthetic fabrics have certain advantages such as easier handling, superior feel and easy wash due to soil repellent properties.

FINANCIALS
The Company has steadily increased its turnover over the last 4 years and for the year ended March 2000 its turnover was USD 31.2 millions.
