As a ZETT Group subsidiary we call on over 80 years‘ experience of professional light solutions for laboratory and medical technology, automotive and industrial applications as well as for interior lighting. ZETT OPTICS, founded in 1928, belonged for many years to the Zeiss Group and the Leica Group, respectively. The company developed as specialists in lighting technology and became a valued development and production partner to many notable industrial concerns.

The ZETT Group, through ZEL, is now considerably expanding its presence in the world of LED lighting. ZEL was founded as a joint venture withE.A.S.T. Produktions GmbH, a company specialising in street lighting.

Today ZEL is one of Germany’s leadingcompanies with regards to the introduction of technological innovations in modern LED lighting systems. We were one of the first manufacturers to develop intelligent outdoor LED lighting with micro-processor controlled and demand-oriented regulation. Maximum Efficiency due to Intelligent Light Management

All luminaires can be operated at reduced power dependant on the intended lighting requirements. The customer can chose from the options of conventional part-night switching and the integrated timerprogramme (astronomic calender). Individual parameters can be easily adjusted after installation. This allows demonstrable energy savings of 60-80%.

High Quality Lighting in a Timeless Design

Our LED street lighting blends sensitively into any urban landscape, allowing sophisticated presentation of outdoor areas, and delivers a high aesthetic quality through a minimalist design of simple elegance. The light guiding UV-resistant optics used in the Equal-Flood-Technology (EFT) ensure that the LED light points develop a homogenous light distribution pattern, which, combined with perfect glare reduction, allows for optimum environmental perception.

Road Safety has Priority

The LED light engine operates in the lower range of its thermal capacity in order to ensure its maximum stated lifespan. Should individual LEDs fail nevertheless, the multi-channel control ensures the continued operation of the luminaire. The modular construction of the LED modules, power supply units and electronics enable easy maintenance and thus reduce running and consequential costs.

Durability in Harsh Environments

Lasting quality requires the employment and processing of high-quality materials. For this reason, we use aluminium, stainless steel and UV-resistant materials in order to offer a high standard of stability and durability for a long useful life.

Flexibility of Use

The most diverse challenges for street lighting are presented by existing poles as well as certain structural environment. The individual models of our street lights can be ordered to fit diverse spigot mount sizes with variable degrees of inclination, with different power ratings, for various luminaire heights and with various colours of LED and housing. A uniform luminaires appearance within different lighting classes provides an integrated image-enhancing lighting architecture.
